i can do it!

when you told me to do it for fun, are you indirectly implying that i'm not good enough to take it seriously?

do you know how it feels, when you really want to excel in something so badly, but people just dont take you seriously? i know that at this point of time, you believe that it is only a temporary craze, something that i might even give up in a few months time.

But until the second i actually decide to give up on it, i can say that i will strive for it. i will prove that i am not merely wanting to do this for fun. But i do take it very seriously & at that time, you too will see it in a whole different light.

Although you do not discourage me in making this passion a dream come true, but deep down, i truly believe that you do not see me being the best in it. It is dissapointing but it will not be enough to extinguish my determination because i'm stronger than that. And if i have to persevere alone, i will.

the long delayed post

as mentioned in the title, not only is it long delayed, most of the happenings are out-dated.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
prepare to bore yourselves.
* * * * *

lunch at lorong seratus tahun

taken all the way back during seafield's sports day, the overly delayed, and ended very late Sports Day. As if the killer sun wasnt bad enough, made matters crappier for myself when i went there straight out of bed, without any food in my tummy. Okay, not THAT straight out of bed. I'm still sane enough to brush my teeth, change and all that. But, the point is i went there HUNGRY. Lesson of the day, always bring a chocolate bar with you. make that TWO!!

coincidently bumped into Aunty Betty and her family, who were having their lunch at Lorong Seratus Tahun too. Since then, i've bumped into her & family AGAIN, around last weekend if i recalled correctly. What a small SUBANG JAYA!! *laughs at owns lame joke*

Ms. Debbie Eng, you're officially LEGAL *pops confetti*

GIANT EARTHQUAKE ICE-CREAM

The minute i believed that life is slowly falling into a very predictable routine these days, is the exact minute where i will be caught off-guard by unwelcomed surprises, that tend to bring me unexpected and unexplainable stress. Just when i thought i am starting to adapt to THAT routine, it'll somehow fall out of place, and the whole 'getting-used-to-it' process starts all over again. *sighhhh*

but what's life without the occasional stress, right?

*rolls eyes* occasional? who am i kidding. that would definitely be an understatement.

On a happier note, i treated myself to Swensen's Ice-Cream. Ordered a Giant Earthquake Ice Cream. The name sure blows me away but it simply reads ; Eight single scoops of ice-cream at the flavour of your request, each topped with a generous amount of whipped cream, nuts, caramel, etc.

fascinated i was, with the dry ice :)
i've also started catching up with the twilight craze. I'm unbelievably behind time, and so totally deserves a smack on the head. On second thought, i'm not even sure if that craze is still going on, but i still enjoy reading it just as much. Hahaha.

I remember Mabel being bery enthusiastic about it; recall her talking about it a lot, ESP during biology. Back then, i never really paid interest in it, thinking of it as nothing different from the stacks of vampire stories out there. That thought was totally nonsense because i basically cannot even bear to put the book down now :) i'm almost done with it, and am enjoying every detail of the story very very much!!

With the hectic rush of meeting assignment's deadlines, i havent been reading for quite a while. So, i'll be heading back to wear i belong, which is my unfinished story book ; before i run out of spare time =)

loves,

kar mern

peekaboooo!!!

i just had lunch with Mabel & suling, since i was coincidentally at college at this hour of time. yes, i'm once again blogging from college, which means i'm maximizing college facilities. haha. no point putting it to waste, right?

Lunch with them definitely evoked some memories from high school. Throughout the last 2 years of high school, how i often turn my back to the blackboard, just to talk bout the most meaningless stuff with them. (those still in school : don't follow that bad example.) They were sitting TOGETHER, behind me, and it was very very inconvenient for me. no wonder my neck always had that twisted sort of pain. *sighh* a love-hate relationship indeed!!

YYYYYYYYYY

spent half of my weekend in Genting. Mummy made a spontaneous decision to go and since i didnt have much to do, i tagged along. That was prolly a horrible decision, since i wasnt at a legal age to enter the casino. Time was spent at Starbucks, reading mags while my parents had their own fun :(

the rest of the weekend was spent with my cousins at the playground, in the middle of the day, when the sun is exactly above your head!! i'm speechless myself. but we had fun, yes? (imagine cousins nodding head enthusiasticly) haha. and here's prove that we HAD fun, really. LOL ;)

welcome :)

i was only allowed to post THIS pic, out of the many pics of her on the swing

i dont remember playing with this toy when i was a kid.

she is trying to surf, or at least she thinks she is.
she does too...

looks like fun, huh? :)

Y,

isit too difficult?

Have you ever wonder how life would be 10 years from now?

Where will you be at that point of time?

With the tracks of Jay Chou playing in the background, i suddenly pondered about the future, or should i say MY future. Unlike some of my friends who clearly know what their future beholds ; how they see themselves in years from now, i cannot say the same for myself. A friend of mine told me, 'life is demanding, sometimes just too demanding'. To what extend is that true?

Life has its way of testing limits. because no matter how hard i try to excel in whatever that i'm doing, there is always 'that' little something that tells me i have not done enough. The feeling of disappointment truly hurts and it is painful beyond words. i hate to disappoint myself but worst of all, i hate to disappoint the people that matters around me.

There is one phrase in 'P.S I Love You' by Cecelia Ahern that goes something like this,

"shoot for the moon and even if you fail, you'll still land among the stars"

i read this book quite a while back but until now, that phrase still lingers in me. somehow.

When there is hope, there could always be dissapointment. Back to the question earlier, how would my life be in 10 years from now? i simply dare not give myself too much room for imagination.

A week ago, as i was sitting on the beach, staring into the skies of Port Dickson, i wondered whether i grew up a little too soon. In the sense that, i couldnt remember myself being a happy-go-lucky child, without a worry in the world. As a child, i often told myself that i needed to be strong and confident if i were to survive. I didnt like the adults comparing me to their children and i absolutely dislike it, whenever they try to tease or belittle me/my brother. Probably due to that, no matter how insecure i felt, i would fight even the toughest battle of hiding it. But the battle has been too long. i'm tired. i'm exhausted.

Whatever it is, only time can tell what my future beholds. Until then, i am left with no choice, but to work even harder if i dont want a taste of dissapointment. yes?

be positive, i'm trying :)

a weekend getaway

hello :)

debbie . me

its been an amazing weekend, spending it with a bunch of friends at Port Dickson :) :) I've got to admit that when holiday-destinations are concern, Port Dickson definitely does not come into my mind. BUT it was way better than how i expected it to be. or look like. and i really mean WAY better. so yes, i enjoyed (x10) myself!!!

the organiser Y

its good training for you, chi-e-at!!! hah

debbie and i were the only girls on this trip (besides Pn. Ung & her two daughters), so, please brace yourself for aplenty pics of us both. Wait, on second thought, the boys took just as many pics as us. so, its a gazillion pics of us, evryone.

the breeze was strong

reached P.Dickson rather quick, i suppose. But we couldnt check in just yet. With no other choice, we hung out the the beach to pass time. By then, the sun was right above us and it was, erm..sunny? Very sunny that Ms. Debbie Eng had to apply sunblock every 15 mins. LOL

so sweet, kan?

his baby (sister) . her Alex, the lion frm Madagascar

:) :) :)

yi yang . debbie . me . jeanne

ken wee ; my ManU kaki

he must've predicted ManU's defeat then :(

Chiet's tummy is satisfied

e'vrything was gone in a jiffy

We stayed at Ancasa, rented an apartment with 3 rooms. One room for Pn Ung & her daughters, another for the girls and the third room for the guys. Thankfully, Debbie & I, we got a bed each. Unlike the guys who had 2 single beds to 5 people. Muahahahahahaha.

Btw guys, i slept soundly. LOL

them looking owh-so-stylish in their go-kart gear

i decided to give that a miss bcos the weather was really hot & since i can already drive, i figured there's not too much of a difference...

she came in second place, from behind. ><
( debbie, please dont kill me!! hah )

keeping myself entertained while the rest were racing.

i prefer red cars, over pink. Don't u tink RED is such a sexy colour? :) :)

me again :)

drawn and captured by chiet!!!

while he was hving his 'emo' walk. haha

obviously, we went to the beach. Actually i'm not too much of a beach person cause seawater's too salty & my skin hurts when i'm in contact wit it. Besides, the throats gotta hurt when u accidently shallow seawater. However, this time was an exception. Had tons and tons of fun playing in the sea, eventhough my throat felt like it was being sandpapered after that. ughhhh...

my most awesome banana boat ride so far!!
that's us, playing 'monkey' in the middle of the sea.
another artistic shot by chiet :)

group pic Y

the kiddies must've been annoyed wit us bcos we took half of their baby pool. haha

YYY

after dinner, went to the beach again to enjoy the night breeze. chatted & enjoyed each other's company till the early hours of the day.

time flies when u're hving fun, it really does!!!

YYYYYYYYY

p.s - i'm enjoying 2 weeks of semester break *wheeee*

xoxo,

Tuesday, March 3

its different every year, and every day too

i'm blogging from college now, since lecture ended earlier than scheduled.

My friend, Jason is standing beside me now. i can't remember what we were talking about when he mentioned that he doesnt know how to fry an egg. LOL.

OWH, * 100% embarassed moment* he is James, not Jason. whooops. sorry ah, James!!

Btw, he reminds me of IPOH HOR FUN, which i'm craving to eat now ; coincidently my stomach has started to voice its dissatisfaction. I'M HUNGRY!!! we just had to choose this odd timing to talk about food. genius!!

YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

After chatting bout the most meaningless and random stuff for bout an hour, it was time to head for english class, which was especially interesting today, since a few groups are going to have their oral presentations.

Zhili's group presented today & he most definitely thought out of the box and did something that i find quite courageous; could be in a positive or negative way. Its either gonna be incredibly funny or extremely embarassing. If you know him, try asking him and see whether he'll tell you. LMAO

YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Today is also my EIGHTEEN B'DAY :)
*sings happy b'day song to self*

  • to dear CALLIE, who shares this awesome D.O.B with yours truly, i hope that you will enjoy ur sweet sixteen birthday. & may this day brings endless joy and happiness that'll last for a lifetime :)

  • to the ones who text or called to wish me, do know that i truly appreciate it & it means a lot. To those who wished me personally, face-to-face, or celebrated it with me, thank you as well!!! It is without a doubt, a meaningful & unforgettable birthday!!

YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

English's oral presentation resumes tomorrow. Let's hope that i'll not give in to my nerves and wrecked my entire presentation. It will be my last presentation for this semester & lets hope that it'll mark a good ending for my first semester in College :D

p.s - congrats to debbie for passing her driving test :) remember our deal, okay? haha

the birthday girl,

Monday, March 2

hello world,

its been so long since i've visited my own blog. And it took its sweet sweet revenge by making me use 5 WHOLE MINUTES to figure out the password ><

anyhow, since i'm now hving my lunch break in college & is "so" passionate bout blogging (reads : there's nothing better to do) i've finally got myself to log in & blog about the many happenings recently.

Life's been considerably nice, especially to my 'belly'. The increasing diameter of my waist proves that point!!!

College life has been crazy so far. assignments are piling up as i'm typing here, and FINALS IS NEXT WEEK. how exciting is that? 6 weeks in college and i'm hving my finals already. phewwww. Let's hope i'll be able to get out of the exam hall alive!!!

Speaking of next week, SPM results is rumored to come out then, as well. *double pray that i'll make it out of next week ALIVE!!!* sighs....

I'M OFFICIALLY LEGAL TO DRIVE TOO :) :)

passed my driving test last week. & i'm not exaggerating when i say that it is simply NERVE-WREKCING. it was literally breathtaking, and not in a good way. the good thing is, its over and done. i can forget bout manual cars, of clutch & changing gears, and wat not. To those of you who're taking THE TEST soon, esp. JO, SHAU, MELVIN, DEBBIE...ALL THE BEST! :)

geeee. i've blogged in such a random sequence. but its okay la, since i'm only writing it for myself to read, cos no one will visit as i've abandoned it for so loooooong already. so yea..

okay. breaktime's over and i've gotta walk up 6 floors for my next class. It seems a lot(right?) but it still doesnt make me any skinnier. sad.

loooooooves,
kar mern
